F75SE SAVES THE DAY!

Well-known member
I finally had a chance to to bring the DEUS to the old home site I was at 2 weeks ago and got to use it for maybe 2 hrs and found 4wheats, 3 in one hole (1919, 1919 and 1920) and then a 1925. Unfortunately the coil died on me cause I did not charge it properly:ranting:

Fortunately I had brought the F75SE for backup (its a long drive home). Theres waaaaay too much iron here as the home was built in 1837. I used the 5' coil, disc at 4, BP, 3tone and sensitivity 99. This machine is just a BEAST with the 5" as most of you probably are aware, and is the only way to go in carpet iron. Ended up finding a 1915 Canadian dime, 1917 Merc, 1894 Barber Quarter, 1920 Buffalo and 1919 Wheat.
That Buffalo read as pulltab and was a honest 10" deep! I had hand dug the last few inches to insure not hitting it.

I also found a very unusual pin, with a gold plated hand on it and on the hand is a diamond(?). It had read like 35, any idea Keith,,,, Tom?
Theres soooo much junk here, signals are so mixed. That chain must have been a site to a passerby, me pulling it out of the ground!

Thanks for looking!

Aaron

The hand is a yod, a Jewish piece used to read the holy scripture.
It is considered profane to touch the Torah with a hand of flesh so they use a hand (yod) pointer.

You are pretty heavily armed there with your equipment I must say. We should be seeing some more great finds from you this year...Amazingly quick ID on the yod from the forum! Yes, I learned something already today as well, and its real early!
WTG! :clapping: Mud

Very interesting, funny the things you learn from digging up stuff.
Thank you Tom

Both are excellent machines!
