"Faith in the foxhole" - wish there would have been this program when I was in the military...

I have 2 concerns about this. One is the NEED for Bibles to be given to those who are in the military and especially those going into harm's way should know God....this meets that need.

The other concern is why out government can come up with money for 'bail-outs' of companies, can come up with money for weapons systems to fight wars, etc, yet cannot seem to find money to see our youth in the military find God and His protection to so many young people.

I sure wish I were in a financial position to send some of these RDK to these young people. For those who can, here is an opportunity to spread the Word of God to those who need His protection and His salvation.

One way to put God's word into hands is through the Gideon's.
Even if you give just a few bucks when you can they can do it for I think as low a one dollar, for a small New Testament.

thanks for the info. Ya know, I still wonder why we (government) can spend billions on bombs, bullets, weapon systems and can't seem to afford Bibles.

They think it might offend someone!:look:

When the country was built from our forefathers it was built on the foundation of God.

Instead of worrying about offending someone if they don't like Christianity, how about if you don't like it, LEAVE!

I think those that founded this country would be very dissappointed in how it is now! :sadwalk:

Hi Pete,

I printed the address and wll try to send something....even if just a few dollars....every little donation adds up and that is how I look at it when money is scarce. Every dollar I spend or send is borrowed from credit cards but I know how God blesses, so I don't worry about what I owe! This way the credit card companies are contributing to the spreading of God's Word whether they know it or not! I hope to get out of debt if and when the house is ready to sell and sold!

I don't know how my Uncle John got a New Testament during WWII but I have his and what is amazing he has written he accepted Jesus as his Savior on my birthday in 1943, 44 or 45, as I've forgotten the exact year. He always said, when he was alive, that there weren't any atheists in fox holes! When under harms way, most everyone will cry out to God or their false gods!

Thank you for your post and the Gideon's are a good place to give for Bible's given to others! I read or heard that they weren't being put into the hotel or motel rooms any more! Political correctness by those in charge of the rooms?? God Bless!

and I and my Bible would join them.

but that one lady said we were all 'damned' and there is no need for 'these' (slamming the Gideon's Bible on the front desk top)...actually that is why we do need them there...if just one person finds God then having them there is worth it.

Sure glad to hear that the hotel you work at still has Gideon Bibles and hopefully some of those who needed to read one, did read and learn something about Jesus' righteousness! God Bless!

My computer was down with a bad hard drive for the past week and I just got it back yesterday and I'm still in the process of getting it back in order.
We will be going to the Lord for guidance.
