Fall Hunt Pics

It's tough to go to a hunt and get pics, when in the back of your mind, you stand at a large area with tons of potential.
Nobody wants to stand around posing for pics when it's time to hunt.....In a flash they spread out and seekout lost coins and buttons from the past.

I want to thank NH BOB for organizing this hunt and all that helped him....He couldn;t have done it with out you guys!

I also want to say I am glad to finally meet Ron NH.....Rich (BlackX) from findmall forum thanks for the Icy IPA..... Alan (siiiilvar).....Big Dan.....Chris from NY...Jasonpaz ...Kieth and your travel bud....you know the one with the big score of the large cent and Indian I forgot his name on forum, Gold or Golden something? ..I did get to shake Gary's (GUV's) hand at the final moments before he departed with Mike M from MO....Sorry Guv....nobody could tell me who you were other wise I would have ran up to you and introduced myself earlier. Jasonspaz won the digger you brought with you...he was very greatful and a happy camper...all smiles!

And then the others inwhich I have met before....Good to see you again....Tom, Gene, Relic hunter Bob and his wife Wendy, Brian and Logan, Jules, William and Christina, and anyone else I may have not mentioned....It time to post some pics.......

Didnt know someone scored a large cent..nice find! Hopefully we can do this again soon..maybe go out for a few beers afterward..I was very thirsty afterward , All that hard work..hope you get that oil leak taken care of too! Chris

Very Nice Pics Doug , Looked like a Fantastic Day filled with Fun and Friends,
old and new . Now , the big question....What did you find ? hmmmmmmmm.
I have been looking for your pics of that button and buckle :poke:

Terri

Thanks Chris...and nice to meet you also ....I like the way you were right up front and introduced yourself..If only more had done that....I really wanted to take names and find coins after but you know how it is when the bell rings and it's time to hunt!!...and I know you are razzing me about the mistaken oil leak....Why did I have to pick the parking spot were someone lost at least a quart or more of oil....Just my luck....man that scared me.

The Large cent or King George?.....I have no clue....it was worn with some detail showing and nobody wanted to brush it off to damage it. The last 2 guys from NY were lost and unaccounted for...so Bob took his truck up the hill and brought them back down....diehards!.....Keith and his buddy...I can't think of his name...he said he was a lurker...lol....but yeah....He found it to the back side of corn field and down the hill in the grass... Me,Brian, Logan his son and Bob and the 2 diehards were the last to leave....

This spring I hope to attend the spring hunt and get a hotel for 4 days and hope others do the same and we can have a few pick-packs after each day and play some poker or shoot the shit about our finds.....Last spring hunt I did stay at hotel and my neighbors next door were hooting and hollaring till midnight....I got mad but hey....they didn't invite me....hahaha.....

I couldn't think for the life of me what your FM name was....as soon as I read this I knew.....Take care Chris.....and yeah....I am always game for hunts and a couple of cold brews!........

I found a small button...it is still in the truck I think...in the true value nail apron.....I was so tired from hunt I just dragged in all the valuables that night......hehehe....I will take a pic of button if you like but where did the Buckle thing come from???......I will also show all the other things I found.....I bet I got more Goose tags then anyone....I did find 2 live ammo bullets....One was a 30/30 and other was a long shell 22....I tossed them in the bushes cause I don't like to put live shells in my apron....paronoid it will go off and injur me so I could not finish the hunt....then again....I would be like the BlackNight on Saturday night live show and just say it was a flesh wound! :smoke:

The train of trucks on the way to the hunt. Bob in front, maybe Doug next, and the rest in the mirror.

Bob with his megaphone and some of the rest of us in the cold morning. Note the frosted ground. (It was reading 19 on my jeep's thermometer on the way up.)

Looks like a fun time!!! We just had something like that here in Chicago on the 12th. We had like 20-25 people come out and hunt an old Boy Scout camp. We had a big BBQ afterwards and door prizes for everybody that showedup. It sure is fun to get togeather and put faces to the screen names.

I thought I saw the guy in front of me taking a pic while driving...That was you Rich...I was right behind ya all the way scanning the woods all the way looking for cellar holes....Ziging and zaging I am sure....That is how I drive in the fall when the leaves are half gone...it is easier to see those suckers just off the roads...

Who was in the second truck?

Find a good cellar hole, give me a buzz. (Though I'd prefer not taking off at 5:00 in the morning again--even if the lack of traffic was nice.)

If it was a black jeep, it was Jason....or if it was a small Suzuki Tracker type SUV I am not sure....but If who's on second, I don't Know is on third, what must be the short stop. :stars:
