Fall is here and I hope GARRETT will release some new detectors......:garrett:

Fall seems to be when they have historically released new ones. My hope is for a new top-o-the line machine, maybe multiple freq's. I think they could do great things with one like that. Some want it lighter than the GTI 2500. The weight doesnt bother me much but I wouldn't complain if it was lighter....Geez, Mr. Garrett was using one on one of his latest hunts in Texas which is on the front page of the Garrett site, He doesnt seem to mind the weight, hes having to much fun.

Lets see, and also and updated Scorpion Stinger. That thing, even though it performs well could definatly be replaced. If Whites can do it Garrett can do it. Whites just came out with 3 new detectors this year....one just couple weeks ago..new low price gold detector.(GMZ). Garrett must be working on something...look at that new military PI machine, thats awesome and shows what Garrett can do with the latest design and tech.

So this year we had Minelab, Whites, Fisher come out with new stuff...So it is Garretts turn. The commmon thread with all the other new machines is they ALL have the all metal mode, which is my fave...so my hopes Garrett will come out with new machines with true all metal mode. They have enough discriminating machines to keep people happy. Maybe new type of Imaging Discriminator machine, but I'd rather have raw power with new tech, new freq's, agressive ground tracking for nasty, nasty ground like when prospecting/relic hunting.

I think Garrett has great coin machines, maybe add some adjustable dicrimination/freq's to one of them. But they have many, many coin detectors....the prospectors and relic hunters have been left alone for awhile even though there machines will find both well....always room for improvement with the new computer chips out these days compared to 1998 when the GTI 2500 came out. Intels fastest chip back then is very obsolete these days.

So I wait for this fall again hoping it wont pass without a new Garrett detector. A top-o-the- detector that will make me love it like I do the GTI 2500! And of course my Infinium, which is awesome in nasty ground where my GTI 2500 will screem like she's in pain from all the hot rocks and iron minerals.

My dilemma is I want to upgrade my ace 250 but not sure if I want to buy into the old technology that is the GTI1500/2500....

Well it is old but it is still kick butt detector...just been awhile since we had a new top of the line Garrett. Maybe wait till after fall to make decision to see if we got us a new one. If not the GTI 2500 is still Garretts flag ship model.

I love Garrett detectors but have been waiting for the new top dog but there has been not even a hint of one so I bought a mid line fisher to play with until the new Garrett comes out.[ If they build it we will come!]:garrett:

Rumors are one will be out this fall, at least that's what Vaughan Garrett told me. So cross your fingers.

They don't give too many hints. It's a big secret right up to the day the brown truck pulls up in front of my house or they call and tell me it's on the way.

Well, I couldnt wait so I went ahead and purchased a GTI1500 - hope it is a worthwhile upgrade from my ACE 250 - the 250 sure is a fine detector...

You'll like it. You can always buy the latest when/if it comes out. Enjoy it. The best coin hunter out there is that 1500.

And I noticed a nice lightly used GTI 2500, Garrett's current flagship, with the older white coil just went on the bay for over $700 which is noticably higher than they've gone for in the recent past even with an extra coil.

You think maybe 30" Darryl gave the used 2500 market a little boost up in price?
