Don't you find it "ironic" how the media "glorifies" professional athletes and celebrities who commit adultery and do other immoral things? Nobody deserves to be killed, but dog-gonnit......play with fire and you may get burned!!! They will never learn.....I watch VERY little "media" anymore.....makes me sick......

a life where they sit & listen and follow the hype about famous people - or they have a real life - fullfilling personal dreams. steve in so az

The Word says "Phi 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Phi 4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. "

None of those things seem to on TV anymore and if a program did fit the above....the advertising would be satanic.

I'm more blessed by reading the Word than watching the news spew fear, negativity and so on.

I'll just say Amen to the posts and I truly agree with Mike Chg area...I'm not gonna even start on that one! The Hoop-La on the sinners is what the Media feeds on and that is why they are always negative and used by the devil! The e-mail section of the Internet has enough news to make you throw up and to know what is going on in a sinsick world without watching TV news!! God Bless! Betty

From the psalms, which one I do not remember. I have also seen it written an no evil thing.

I'm down to about 3 to 4 hours per week and even that seems to be way to much. I find that I have much more time to do other things like read my bible. Now what I would like is to convince the rest of the family that the TV is just no good. When my 10 year old gets a snotty attitude, I end the viewing of some snotty little rich girl with a bad attitude. The funny thing here is that my wife can not see the correlation the TV has to her fears and anxieties. Bummer how for some that machine is given greater value than spending time reading or with family. Now I have to wonder if I am spending to much time on the computer, at least I'm not shopping for porn.

Do you think that most Christians are appalled by the elevation of Micheal Jackson to godhood? People are building shrines to him,or so it seems to me. I guess I did not quite make that relation when he was alive, and yes it has always bothered me the elevation that celebrities get even when they are morally corrupt.

Pray Always

I really admire Kirk Cameron, because he abandoned all the Hollywood sin and turned to Christ. Hopefully, others will follow.

I also very much appreciate Kirk Cameron for his beliefs in Jesus and following Him in this life! He is really being used for God in some good Christian movies! I have a few with him in them and I so enjoy watching them! May more in the world be touched and moved by God's Holy Spirit and start doing right instead of wrong, even those who call themselves Christian are acting in some bad movies and don't enhance the truth and love of Jesus, our blessed holy Lord and Savior! Amen! God Bless! Betty
