Fast and Deep

This is one of the best threads I have seen for some time.
There are some guys who are technically able to stand their corner combined with hands on experience.
Follow the leader is not a option in this debate.
I have said before that I have had the Explorer since day one and know a little about the detector and my finds boxes prove the point, but these 3 or 4 guys really know the business.
With this in mind I watch with interest to see what further information comes out.
Its very possible that Minelab may have somrthing to add to whats already being said,I certainly hope so.Jerry.

Na, I wasn't taken a shot at you that post but if want to reply in an aggresive manner I always have something to say.
Not so much settings Gary, swing speed and concentration. Get it???? <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">

Fast and Deep and pinpointing well with my experiences with turning Fast off the signal gets alot wider verses alot smaller and I always (well 99.9%) use Fast on so when your used to the signal being smaller it,s easier to pinoint if that makes sence to ya. Square nails well when your out hunting for Civil War Relics,in the US if you come across square nails that can help you pinpoint a Civil war camp then you would slow down slower than a snail and the nail was an example thats all. You did give your opinion and I will tell you why when I first got my Explorer I posted alot trying to learn it, Ive been Metal Detecting for 13 years with other brands but I was getting so much wrong information that I bet 7 months went by before I started finding good and Deep stuff so when you posted that you never or was against useing Fast on with deep on there were alot of guys who right then and there turned fast OFF then the next time they go out to that park or trashy area they wont find anything because all signals will fade togeather then guess what another Explorer up for sale and another person bad mouthing the Explorers learning curve . IM helping people just like me a average Joe not a movie star or Injunear see I cant even spell it ( cody ) there is a difference in knowing whats inside the EX and how to use it to much info about the Explorer in to overwhelming for new guys. and your long looping swing Gary is not how you work stuff out of iron infested sites. I used to swing somewhat the same way until someone gave me a real good Explorer lesson about how much I was missing by not using a shorter swing, and doing it from many directions. You obviously spent quite a bit of time on that video but you certainly left out anything that was one step above very basic. Before it's release you among at least one other said it was a program for all, including the advanced users. Well I thought otherwise and obviously I was correct.
