Father and son hunt

Yesterday I took my son to the park to play on the play ground and I decided to do some detecting while we were there. I helped him to learn how the compadre worked and the pin pointer and showed him how to dig. Up to that point I had found a small amount of clad in including only 1 quarter. His first target turned out to be a quarter. His first quarter he found metal detecting. After finding the quarter, he was really interested in metal detecting. It was a fun day overall. In total we found about 1.50 in clad in 2 hours of playing and digging and dug a bunch of junk. I can't put a price on quality time spent with my son showing him how to metal detect. This is a hobby I enjoy and have had countless hours of doing it. I had one nickel I dug out that had some depth. I had the compadre set at iron. I forgot how much fun it is to detect at that setting. Good luck and HH.

There's nothing like hunting with your kids and Grandkids . It sounds like you will have many memory building fun hunts ahead .

Looks like you will need to get a compadre for your son. Hope he enjoys the hobby... KEN

Good for you! It's a nice to have someone to share time and memories with.
