faulty version F-19

how can you find if you have a first batch ,faulty F-19 or the newer ones ,do you look at serial number?my serial number is 0714080239,thanks for any help.

I'd recommend calling the Fisher service department and talking with them about your detector.

Did I miss something? Is there a faulty batch of F19's floating around out there a la the F75?

There were a few of the very first batch to hit the dealers shelves. Most all were called back from the dealers and got repaired before being sold to the public. Unfortunately a few did make it into the end user's hands. Most if not all, got tracked down by Fisher through the warranty cards. If someone got a very early one and didn't fill out the warranty card, then there is a chance there could be a bad on out there somewhere. berryman, your's isn't one of them.

Mine is serial number 0714080305 or 66 units after your's. I doubt you have a bad one.
