Found this cool love token at an old church. The only remains of church is the front steps and a few old stones for foundation. Believe it dates back to 1860s. The token is a 1858 seated quarter that was engraved on back with the initials NBV. I have been looking for one ever since a buddy showed me the one he found. I believe it was a pin but the pin part has fallen off. The odd thing is when i popped the plug it was in the sod prolly less than two inches in the ground. I wonder how many good targets i have walked over because they were'nt deep enough for my likings. Gonna have to dig a few more shallow targets. Also i am gonna try and research the initials and find the family. Kind of a long shot but would be cool to return to family members. Happy hunting !

That's a nice find. Very good

A Very Special Find

Great Job

I have found Silver under Five inches and it depends on where you are digging but it is
hard to pass up a Good Signal no matter how shallow
