Favorite non gold finds of 2012

Good evening all. We all seem to find silver gold and platinum in our many water hunts. And I am sure you find your share of sunglasses, toys, watches and other things. I just thought I would share my favorite underwater finds of last year that are not the norm whatsoever.

In this picture I have three. My Springfield civil war bayonet, My Taurus 357 magnum and my WW1 Mark 1 100 pound bomb.

Would anyone else like to show any of their unusual finds for last year? I am sure others also found off the wall items they have in their collection.

I found a brass canister with a oring on the lid that had a rope through the lid to wear as a necklace. kinda looked like a film cannister made of brass found this at the lake got all my finds home and my 14 yr old unscrewed the lid and said dad this has something in it, sure enough it was full of marijuana, what would have been my excuse if I were to be pulled over on the way home. I found this weird. just thought I would add my find, still doesnt top the bomb, but it would have in my younger days.LOL

Was the 357 tested by ballistics? I can't remember if you posted the results or if it may have been used in a crime!
I detected a 357 look alike gun....not the unusual kid's toy gun but a good replica. I found it up in the mountains here (I'm only 15 minutes away from the mountains) I did not have my camera on me and so didn't take a photo unfortunately. It was below some rocks beside a bend in the road and about 50 ft from a mountain stream.....a great place to ditch a gun that may have been used in a robbery. I disposed of the gun by the way!

No it wasn't ballistics tested. This is the second gun I have turned in and recieved back that was just cleaned a bit and this one they got the serial number off. The other one they didn't.
