Picture from Atlantic City Press this morning, just think, since they just finished the beach replenishment in Ventnor right around beginning of Summer, we have had no Major storms of any type, other than lots of days of NE winds, but no hurricanes side swiped us or severe Northeasters, and yet the damage is already getting to where they have to spend more money again.

and they will keep doing it over and over again. it ain't their money.

Now if that picture was last year before the replenishment we would be having a field day down there. Oh to think of all those goodies. From what I heard they are supposed to replenish those beaches every three years. Just when it may be getting down to where we could find some good stuff they will come along and replenish it all over again. HH

Did you read the last visible sentence under the pix. They are planning on adding a new Groin...what a joke....all that will do is create even more Erosion. You would have thought they would have learned that by now. There are several books about beach erosion that go into great detail about the long term damage that groins cause. One of the books was even written specifically about NJ Beaches. But that new Groin will be a boon to us beach hunters as it will cause the beach to erode faster and farther than before Unfortunately it will be our tax dollars that pay for the building of the new groin and the constant sand replenishment that it will require In the end Mother Nature will win...no matter how much money they throw at her!!!!!!!
