Purchased a shop worn model. Took it out for the first time, it modulates at a slow rate when picking up nails. Gives a faster tone on quarters, nickels and dimes. pennies provide a slightly different tone. I reaaly became impressed with it's performance. I don't know much about them, but I think they were one of the better machine's when they first came out.
I had a Whites PI modified and this seemes to do a better job. I don't know about it picking up gold yet. It has the 8 inch coil, and is very light. no arm fatigue for a semi older coot.
