Fell again...this time outside going down the front steps...

Pete in MI

I'm alright...sorta. Wearing those same 'slippers' (cushioned hospital type holey shoes - with the tread wore of em) that caught on the gate the other day, I went to go out to the van..it had been raining and wet leaves all over the wooden deck. I took one step down and fell down the rest of the stairs. Hit my left upper leg hard (big bruise and lump there now), scraped the skin off my foot (just above and at the ankle - ouch) and broke my toe (one next to the little toe on my right foot). Laid in the rain, mud. leaves, etc. and yelled for Sherry who did not hear me. Took me awhile to be able to move but finally got back up and inside the house. Let Sherry know I had fallen, yet again, and so far she keeps harping about me falling. What's a guy gonna do? Obviously, detecting is not going to happen. I pitched the 'slippers' in the trash.

Guess I will have to be VERY careful to avoid the rath of the Mrs. and falls of course.

Sure would like to detect but still can't bend down on the left knee from the previous fall so digging is out of the question and what good is detecting if ya can't dig?

Be safe everyone and think safety (and even pray for safety of those you love and yourself)

Maybe you need an over sized stroller to keep the kid in you at bay!
Heal up soon and prayers on the way!

You've got to be more careful dude :) Hope you heal fast and get some digging in before the ground freezes!

med-alert buttons....."IVE FALLEN AND I CANT GET UP" nice move getting rid of the shoes.
