Dance like a Egyptian  Love this find when it was unearthed....appears to be copper:

More copper jewelery:

Can anyone tell me about this button (size of a dime) back marked ("IMPERIAL ORANGE Treble Gilt"):

And finally a Whatzit about the size of a nickel -- slightly concave from the holing:

I have a few more relics from this epic hunt, but I fear they will be overshadowed by what capri_auto found....Chris being younger and with more stamina than me :stars: dug a number of gorgeous relics that are definitely worth waiting to see!

That ones a GILT coat button pretty common circa 1860s. I have a ton of those GILT buttons... some military some rail road and of course coats. The other may not be jewelry, but a suspender holder. The last one could be a cast wheel off a toy.

Thanks Dew - the item with the frog on it does seem to be an odd thing for a woman to wear - probably is a more interesting item like a suspender of some sort....maybe I'll pit it on the Whatzit forum and see what they think. What do you think the Egyptian piece was?

Thanks, Erik

What do you think the Egyptian piece was?

Hard to tell how much of it is missing. I would doubt jewelry (maybe broach?). Really neat though, like digging up an old ancient artifact.

Cool stuff- I really like the frog thing. It looks almost like the a watch fob. The Egyptian thing is cool too. I heard that when King Tut''s tomb was discovered (early 1900s-1920?) that Egyptian stuff was really popular. Thanks for sharing your finds. HH
