Today Mrs G4E hit the field with me, had no new fields so we hit a couple fields that we hit last spring, funny thing is we got more in a few hours than I got in last 5 days hunting!!!!! She must be good luck.
She started us off with a 1883 indian, then I scored the General service CW button, she also found the buckle, large musketball, and overall button. We hit a second field, now this field was one of two for the top producers last yr, it has given up LC's over a dozen indians, couple silver and many, many crotal bells. I was shocked to actually get a few more keepers there, I have hunted it no less than a dozen times, had many friends who hunted it with me as well as the wife.
I got a 1865 injun, 1918 "clipped" buffalo, couple small musketballs, and a gold plated wedding band. It has a 14 and a crown inside.
we also dug a bunch of shotgun shells, but can't skip em since they come in just like a fatty indian
Finds are pretty crusty...both sites have been gone for nearly 100 yrs so they have been fertilized for a long period......Overall it was a fun day and the first time she has hunted with me this yr.
