Field work continues!!!

Hit the fields this morning just as the early morning sun was beginning to peak its way over the tree line on the eastern edge of the field I was going to hunt on. As has been the case on this site, targets again were few. I did get one silver, a 1920 Merc. and 4 wheats as far as older coins go. Near the end of my hunt, I got a deep reading with mixed tones. It turned out to be a toasted Eagle I button. It was between 8" and 9" deep. Today I was running the LTD at 99 sen until mid morning when some emi chatter kicked in. I was able to quiet it some with going to another frequency, but not enough to be comfortable, so ended the hunt with 85 sen in BP mode, 4 disc and 3h tones. HH jim tn

Elton, something over 50. I haven't run a figure for a couple of weeks. I do know, though, I have several more older, quality coins already then I had all of last year. HH jim tn

Nice finds. I also hunt fields here in TN. but have not seen the sun in two days. Congratulations on your silver count. Seems those old farm workers did'nt carry much. Starting to pick up a few pesos now. What does that tell you. HH

WTG on the silver jimtn,,you running the 11 inch coil? I have been running the 5 inch in the woods as of lately,no silver but its finding bullets and shell caseings down to 7 inches...hh rick in mi.

rick, I am running the 11" for my field hunting for the added depth it gets. 7-9 and 10" depths are not uncommon on this site. In heavy trash I use the 5" and quite often for woods hunting I use the 6 1/2." HH jim tn

I drove right throgh your state this week without any time to stop...glad to see your still pullin silver, I got 2 pre 64 dimes and a 46 quarter this week thanks to your posts. Been slowing down (just a little) and going over areas I've been before.
