Field yields a few more boolits

So I went out in the cold today, 35 degrees and windy. This farm has a few spots I've discovered. Two separate civil war sites thus far, and an old cabin/shack location where the old Catholic Mother Mary medallion and the floral button were liberated.

I included the little bit of chain, well, because I've dug a whole bunch of iron over the years, including LOTS of chain, chain links, loops, hoops, rings, and such :)

Two of those bullets are like the other few that had the threaded, hollow tips, presumably being removed with a threaded rod.

Any idea as to what the chain was used for?

I love buttons and medals. Congratulations
