Finally, After 7 Days Of Work, I Got In An Hours Worth Of Hunting

I just had to get out and get some dirt on my fingers. Seven days of not metal detecting is enough to make a grown man cry :(.

Got about an hours worth of hunting in, then I was in the dark. Days are just too short.

Some clad that you dug is good. Glad you can still get out:detecting:

so, are you covered with a blanket of snow? We got up to 8 C today....the high tomorrow is supposed to be 6. We have very dry, no snow ground.

We've had snow on the ground for over two weeks.
Temp in the daytime around -5 and nighttime -15 plus
Ground frozen about 4 inches due to lots of rain in the fall:rolleyes:

Good you can still get out. We had snow today and the ground is already frozen due to a very cold November. I will have to head south if I want any action. :surrender:

... and I mean nothing but. I had th day off, but hadda do some wiring work at home.
By the time I got out, it was too late to go anywhere else to hunt.

You take is goodun', by todays standard.

That isn't right. I am working in the snow almost everyday. (I'm a pipe fitter building a power plant and there isn't a roof on it yet.) Right now it is coming down in big flakes and the ground is like a rock. We have been breaking records for lows.

... years of training and credentials up the wazoo leave me eminently capable, old friend.
I didn't fall off the ladder even once, I didn't hurt myself with my tools nor electrocute myself. I never even got a spark.

On top of all that, it worked right the first time.

Like I said, an eggspert.

It's been frozen and snow covered here for weeks now John. I think that I read somewhere that using my ACE in extreme cold will kill it, besides freezing my own ACE off.:bouncy: Is it true?, will the cold ruin my machine?

Go back and read some of John's posts from last Winter. He hunts some in some very extreme conditions. Personally, I find my technque goes to heck when I get too many layers of clothes on or worse yet, gloves.
