FINALLY! Back in action after a long winter with a BIG find!

I returned to one of my colonial sites over the weekend for a few hours with my T2 Special Edition and my new White's TRX Pinpointer. My first tone came withing minutes and was a deep iron sounding target at 10 inches with a little blip into the foil range. I've learned not to ignore these signals, and this one was worth the effort, turning out to be a cruddy old Liberty Head nickel.

A bit later I got another similar type of deep hit with the signal bouncing a bit higher. I cleared some surface debris, allowing me to sweep closer to the ground but the tone still bounced from iron, but now into the coin range as well. After digging a nice deep plug I swept the coil back over the hole and now got a nice, clear dime tone. A coin? Yes it was, but not the King George that I was expecting! I recorded it on video so you'll need to watch it to see what coin it is.

FYI, I also dug an unidentifiable tiny silver coin (15.1 mm and only 12 grains) and left behind my new pinpointer. Luckily the bright orange cap made it easy to go back and find it in the brush! Enjoy!
