It was such a nice day yesterday, I took off from work 2 hours early and decided to do a hunt at my usual field. Found a bunch of clad, a lot of pop tops, a NY Subway Token, a small gold-colored skull charm and small gold painted earring along with a Western Field 12 gauge shotgun shell. I did find 4 nickels which was a good sign It was starting to get dark and I got a weak hit. I was DISCing below 5 cents but above iron and not supertuning hoping to find gold or silver. I dug it and thought it was another bent pull tab, but then I realized it was a ring. From the sound it was either gold or possibly just plate. When I go it home and cleaned it up, I saw that it was a 10K ring with a copy of a Chinese panda 5 Yuan coin. Though not 14 or 24K I was happy. My daughters will love it.
