Finally found something worth posting!

[SWV Coin Hunter]

A 1944 Belgium 2 Francs. I did a little checking on it and it seems that this was only made for one year. Not really worth anything but still, I interesting find especially considering where I found it. 3 inches down on the side of an old high school parking lot. Don't have a clue as to how it got there.

You say it isnt worth anything but its worth something to you. Every time I find a V nickel one of our locals says "Its not worth anything!", and I always tell him "Well, it does mean something to me." Sometimes our finds mean more than just a monetary value.

Yeah that's me. They have been doing a bunch of construction there at the old high school here in Coeburn but I have found very little that is old although I'm sure it's there. A few wheat penny's and one silver dime and a boat load of clad coins is what I have come up with so far. I don't know how much more they are going to do but It would be a good place to check out if you have a chance. Right now all the parking lot in front of the school is gone, the old gym is gone and they may end up taking up the old tennis court as well. Most of the time, The crews are there till around 6pm Monday to Sat around noon so the best time to hit it is either late in the day or on Sunday.
