Finally Getting Out!!!

The little lady and I have been doing some practicing out in the backyard for a few weeks now. Found my first coin, a 1993 dime. Also found an old cap gun. When I was pulling it out of the ground, my eyes popped open, but then I saw that it was only a toy. There are a lot of nails in the back yard!!! The weekend before last we went a little further North to do some exploring. We got stuck in the snow that still hadn't melted off of the remote roads. This past weekend, the snow was finally gone and the ground was thawed out. While hiking through the woods, found that I really need to remember to bring along a belt for my pants. Just walking through the woods, I found a zipper-pull and some wire. Not much to brag about, but I wouldn't have thought that I would have been able to find anything manufactured in the area I was at. I guess that I wasn't as remote as I thought I was. Well, memorial day weekend is next and we will be spending some time with the detectors at some ancient Indian migration routes.

I almost forgot to mention that I need to get a pair of boots that don't have steel toes. Man!! Those steel toes make that detector go nuts!!!

Good Luck Hunting!!
