Here are some of the finds from the past week or so. Dug a couple more mercs, but, maxed on pix. The weather has been sooooo gorgeous...cool, damp ground and sunshine. What more can we ask for (maybe less squitos)

The tin is from a Condom tin. Merry Widows was one of the first to produce condoms commercially. Era 1890's up to around 1920's. The minie came from a local park which was a muster point for Civil War recruits.

Congrats captain on those silver finds.

My twisted sense of humor played around with the ' tin' find.

Tin condoms.....?????.....for sterile men...??..etc.

Anyhow, must get out and do some detecting myself.......I've been restricted by bad weather...:nopity:..does things to your mind.:sadwalk::rolleyes:

Thanks for sharing...................

It's the only one my mommy let's me use, Mic!

Of course, it's happy tears, eh?

It took alot of searchin' to figure out who "Merry Widows" for a buck was. Tried to find the rest of the tin, since it appears to have somehow been cut up by a mower or whatever, but, didn't find it.

Next post is one I can't locate.

Nice finds Ron,that 40' merc is in beautiful shape!
