Went to my trashy spots since school was in session. Hunted in Sens. #2 and Coins mode w/my Ace. lt kinda cherry picks amonst all the trash-tons of zincers! When school let out I went to the tot lot section in sens. #4 and my favorite relics mode. Most of the cleaner coins were found there. The closest I got to gold was the tiny earring and the bronze zipper!:biggrin: Also found a plug for a conduit box. I feel I coulda found a lot more at the other spots with the sniper.
 
Great haul! Small silver rings often ring up as zinc cents. I don't know why I'm saying that becuse you sure recovered a lot of pennies.

That's quite a pile you've got there. Makes me want to get out and hunt. Too bad it's dark outside...sigh!

Always glad to get the extra info-I didn't know that. Last week I found one that jumped from penny to dime-it was bent. Thanks to every one for looking.

They're starting the same around here. The only lucky sites I have are used by locals for baseball practice, pee wee football, etc. It has been caused by all the vandalism. That's why whenever I spy some bad activity or door left opened I automatically call it in and say that I was metal detecting or going to and this is what I saw......
 
Same here. Vandalism shut em down one by one.
Man, that sure was some easy pickens while it lasted.
That's how I became a sports field hunter. So far they
are still open to me. So far. Good thinking calling in
suspicious activity too. Could possibly keep a place
open to you. We can only hope. HH Gene
