FINALLY - Got me another GTP 1350!! :clapping:

Yeah if I sold mine it would go for the upper bucks as it is same as brand new. But I really hate to part with anything I have field tested. :)

Bill

Given that there is a huge difference in the recovery speed and audio response between the imaging coil and the scorcher coil Bill, even if they share the same circuitry, I suspect that without the 2 receive coils on the imaging coil, the 1350 would be more responsive. One day, hope to be able to get my hands on one and I'll see how they go.
Mick Evans.

The volume is not the problem. It's the blunt harshness of the tone that cause ear fatigue that is the hang up. If I bought one again, I'd knock out all the lower notches and forgo the gold rings and lower denomination coins. They only contribute a small amount to the totals and cause the bulk of the assault on the ear drums.

It is slightly more responsive and can be swung a little faster as I found to be true when I field tested it a few years back.

Bill

You must have tender ears. Does it help any to turn the volume down on the earphones? I can't stand to use one without them. I'll never know why Garrett skimped on that feature.

Bill

Yeah, the volume control really helps on the headphones. I'm not a fan of head phones, but I find that by putting a couple of layers of electrical tape over the speaker, it works at a near perfect volume. Who knows, you may just see me swinging an Ace again soon. We'll see.

I have the Ace 250 with the sniper coil AND the 9x12. I'm
really attached to the dang thing BUT if I WERE to sell
it I wonder what would be a fair asking price with the extra coils?

Katzy, I'm really reluctant to say here, so I'll leave it to others.
Im sure someone will breathe a sigh of relief over that.

All I can say here is good luck.

But.... PM sent, old buddy.

I field tested the Ace 300 way back and it is now sold under a private license agreement as the "Predator" by Kellyco. Go for the 250. Much better tector.
