I finally managed a little time to myself about a two weeks ago. I would have posted sooner but my camera and I were in disagreement, charger would not work for me. I had gotten permission to hunt a vacant lot and was headed to hunt it when I saw a curb that I had been wanting to hunt for a long time so I stopped and started to hunt. I searched on the avenue side first and the first find was a penny from my birthyear.

I thought this is going to be a great hunt.. I found a few clad coins and decided to hit the street side of the building. I started at the corner and got a couple more clad. Then I get a really nice tone and I knew I had something good. I pin point and cut the plug and laying in the hole is a nice shining dime laying against the black dirt.

I hunted awhile longer down the street side and I get a real odd tone it was good then great, then good, then great, then good. This was odd. I cut a big plug and out came a piece of aluminum sideing. That was the good tone. I knew there had to be the great tone in there somewhere. I dig a little deeper and out pops a standing liberty quarter, my first.

I was headed home for lunch and saw that my favorite school was unlocked during spring break. I eat and then stopped at the school for a quick hunt as I was headed to Mikey's. I found a lot of clad and then I got a great signal under a swing. I dig in the wood chips and finally find a dime. Ugly thing, I wiped the date and saw that it was a silver rosie, 1952... Wow three silvers. I got to Mikeys and then head home hey wait a minute I still got some day light left I am going to hit another curb. I stop and find a little clad then a good signal. I dig my second rosie.. Yee Haw.... 1961... I am in a hurry to finish the curb as it is getting dark. I get on final great signal and as I dig the final plug I see silver. Just enough light to see it is a merc. When I get home I see it is a 1944. Wow five silver in one day.
