Finally happened. Zilch.

I have never gone detecting without at least a few pennies/nickels...something. Today was my zilch day. I tried a small Veteran's park with a nice monument and a few picnic shelters in the middle of town. I got nothing but 38s, 46s and typical moving junk signals. I was using the Quick Draaw Pro, sense at 8 and iron disc-ed. I had to throw a few coins on the ground just to make sure the QDP was working. I went ahead and dug some 38s/46s and iffy's just to make sure something wasn't messing up. Sure enough, pull tabs, caps and pieces of bent tin. The QDP has always found at least some silver (dimes, quarters) if they are there, with a definitive lock. Never heard one.

I thought the park could have been hunted out, and if it was, the holes were replaced nicely as they should.

Oh well, add me to the zilch club. Can't remember ever not getting something for 2 hrs hunting.
