Had a couple short hunts this weekend, first hunt netted three silver, a 54 Wasington Quarter, a 54 Roosie a couple inches away, and a 43 Merc. Also found about three dollars in clad. Second hunt tonight at sidewalk construction rewarded me with the bent 1907 Barber Dime(still silver) and about a dollar in clad. Felt good to swing again!!

Nice to see a fellow Indiana guy netting more than one or two silver in a week! I've been wanting to get out but been busy with work and then the ground has been way too dry to dig here in Muncie. The rain should net us even more goodies! Keep it up!

I talked to a friend who hunted there a couple weeks ago or so, from what he said he pulled a couple Indians and three silver from a Park, wouldn't say which one, but wish I'd have known, I'd have sent a message to you for some fun.

Over here in Muncie? He must be hunting some spots that noone has hunted with an explorer yet. But I did find 7 indians, 2 v nickels, and an 1892 barber dime about 2 weeks ago in one day. I thought that was pretty impressive. But it was just luck. Hunted a spot that most of the guys I detect with who have hunted these parks the past 30 years said that they had never remember hunting. It's still out there, just not in any spots that I have gone over recently ;)

Nice Silver! Just love popping a few silver on an outing. Too bad about the Barber Dime but it still is a keeper and like you said it, It's still silver! Good Luck and HH.

HELL-O IT'S THE CHIPMONK HERE, I JUST WANTED TO SAY JACK YOU HAVE SOME GREE-ATE FINDS. I ESPECIALLY LIKED THE BARBER DIME YOU HIT WITH YOUR DIGGER---HA,HA. I RESOLVED THAT ISSUE BY USING A J.I.CASE BACKHOE AND LOADER WITH A 20' BUCKET AND THEN USING A SIFTING SCREEN!
PLEASE DON'T TELL ME YOUR FROM (INDIANA--TOO??)I'M FROM THE FIRST UNOFFICIAL STATE CAPITAL (3-DAYS) HINT=BY THE OHIO RIVER--YA YOU GUESSED IT-MADISON.IN.I'M NEW TO THE FORUM AND LIKE TO INCERT ME OWN LITTLE HUMOR AT TIMES- SO PLEASE DON'T O-FENCE. I HOPE TO HAVE SOME FINDS TO SHARE WITH THE FORUM ALSO---AS SOON AS I FIGURE OUT MY DETECTOR.:clapping:

Hi, I've never had any luck in sidewalk construction - any tips? ANy idea how that Barber got bent like that? Regards, Erik

Very cool. It's not very common to find a Badly Bent Barber. Sounds like you have a good spot there.

Good going Jack.
