Finally, some gold!

Found an old gold ring at one of my field sites last week, but wanted to wait for confirmation before posting. It's a plain wedding band, no makers marks, but gold just the same. Just verified from a local jewellers. 10k, bent, and poorly sized with a copper resizing weld, but it reformed well and polished up nicely. Found on an 1860s field site.

Was running 18kHz in gmp. I like that frequency due to how well it picks up the thinner pieces. Not that this ring is thin. It's actually a man's ring, probably a size 10. It rang up in the upper 50s, but with that sweet, round sound. A solid 7" down.

Good Job! Thats old gold...holler at me if you ever get back over here next summer...I need to get my hands on a Deus and try it out...:clapping:
Mud

Will do mud! Would like to see what you think about it. For field hunting in iron, the Deus is the best detector I've used yet! I'll definitely be purchasing the water kit for the beaches next summer.
