After a month of waiting for my 7.5 khz dd coil for my x terra, in a week i will have that coil in my hands :drool:


Hello guys i have been using the 18.75 dd coil for x etrra 705 (gold pack) for a year , im wondering , what should i know about this coil, do i put the same sensitivity , what about pinpointing and all you could help me i will appreciate it a lot

Not much to know that's different. It's just a great coil to have, and will be the most honest ID of the available DD coils.
It will pinpoint right under the label, and sensitiveity will depend on your ground.

I just received my 7.5 DD for my 505 a couple of weeks ago and pinpointing is very sensitive, I don't even look at the screen with this coil, after I get the hum I just drag the coil backwards and when the hum stops my target is right at the tip.
I like this coil so much I put my stock one FS in the classifieds.

That's been my go to coil for about the last year. The HF version works almost equally as well but they do have different characteristics.

The 7.5 has a little slower response time so you have to swing it a little slower. Also, the 7.5 is a little less sensitive when it comes to finding nickels. You will find nickels with it but the ID and tone is not quite as distinct as with the HF version. In the soil that I'm using that coil in I think it has just slightly better depth then the HF.

To me, it doesn't matter if I grab the MF or HF coil. I've been letting my Mom use the HF coil because I think it's a little more forgiving and I things jump out at you a little better. In the beginning I really did not like the MF coil and it sat in my vehicle while I used the HF coil. Once I gave it time and understood the differences I've really been satisfied with it.

MEV I'm sure that you will like that coil. i've been using it for the past 7 years and it has done a GREAT job at finding the deep old coins for me.

As far as Sen goes, run it as high as you can run it, I do, lol
