Since I purchased my E-trac two months ago, I've been whining like a 5 year old about the frozen ground here in Nebraska. Well my whining is over...I was finally able to get out today for a quick hunt....even though it was my own backyard. The soil conditions were "chunky" as there is still plenty of frost to break through...so needless to say, not ideal, but fun nonetheless. Now my backyard was "hunted out" last year with my trusty MXT...so I was not expecting much. But mind you, I swing a E-trac now, and boy am I pleased. Every good target I found was "co-located with other trash." Unfortunately I didn't find anything groundbreaking...pardon the pun...but to realize first hand the "see through" ability of the E-trac on my first hunt....WOW...what a machine! I can't wait to get out again! Now on to my finds...
1991 quarter...who cares right? But laying above and slightly off to the side of it was a bent nail.
several memorial pennies...off to the gum ball machine, or the leave a penny/take a penny cup
and Five Wheats, all in the same hole! What a wheat harvest! Next to the wheats was a large iron elbow pipe.
The neatest find of all was a "Good Luck" token from Nebraska National Bank in North Platte, the penny in the middle fell out and I could not locate it, but who cares its a token!
The coins are tumbling now, maybe if the wheats are semi keys...I'lI post a pic!
