Looks like a brand new car. As long as it gets you from point A to point B, that's all that matters.

Betty - You sure have a nice car !! Looks like it's restored almost, Steve

Fla. Gunman Puts Car 'Out of Its Misery'
LAUDERDALE-BY-THE-SEA, Fla. (AP) -- A man with car trouble is in trouble after shooting five rounds into the hood of his Chrysler "to put my car out of its misery."
John McGivney, 64, shot his 1994 LeBaron with a .380-caliber semiautomatic, Broward County sheriff's deputies said.
When the property manager at his apartment complex asked what he was doing, McGivney said, "I'm putting my car out of its misery." He tucked his gun in a pocket and went back inside.
He was arrested Friday on a misdemeanor charge of discharging a firearm in public. He posted $100 bail Saturday.
McGivney said the car has been giving him trouble for years and had "outlived its usefulness." He called the shooting "dumb" and worries he will be evicted. But he doesn't regret it.
"I think every guy in the universe (and Betty from MO ) has wanted to do it," McGivney told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "It was worth every dang minute in that jail."

Hey, Joe, I would have loved to do that with that 1985 Ltd Ford Crown Victoria I had....all it did was give me problems from the time I bought it used! Finally got rid of it by almost giving it away and now all I have is the 1977 Mercury Monarch...which is from my Mom & Dad's estate, so not ready to shoot it yet or give it away! But the Ltd was another story... told my son while I had it that I would like to push it into the Mississippi River!
I'm still trying to keep the car running and have spent about $1,000 on it in the last few months! It didn't do too bad today, but didn't get to finish my shopping, as a big storm came up with lots of wind and rain, so skedaddled home as quick as I could. Washed car, yesterday; then rained, today, now that's par for course isn't it!
I don't have a gun, so won't be shooting it or anything or anyone! Although I thought about it in 1986 through 1988! But God wouldn't let me do anything wrong and even stopped me from doing something that would have hurt me in court during the divorce! God is GOOD!!
God Bless!

Thanks, Paul! Dr visit went okay but he was running behind as usual. He blessed me though and gave me a free sample of Advair-250/50 for my COPD, which has 28 dozes and then he wrote me a prescription for one free Advair-250/50 with 60 dozes. So I give God praise for His grace and for His many blessings!:)
That really helped me as I have 4 prescriptions to be filled besides that one and it alone costs around $136.00 or more per month! I'm supposed to take it twice a day but because of it's expense I only take it once and use Albuterol for my breathing. I can use it whenever I need it, but usually just use it once or twice a day of two or three puffs!
The reason I am so tired all the time is because of my Asthma the dr said! I go back in three months for a checkup and hopefully I won't need to see him any sooner!
God Bless!

painted by AAMCO about 1985 or 1986 after we bought it from Dad's Estate...Mom passed away in July, 1984 and he passed away in Oct, 1984!
But this car does not have A/C, no power steering, no power brakes, no automatic transmission and has two large doors that open up too wide! Have to be careful of other parked cars!
If it keeps running poorly, I think the next time I will take it to the Leader Mercury Dealership and have them work on it, which will probably be expensive but worth it if they can get it running like it should! I just don't want to buy a used car and can't afford a new one! That used LTD I purchased was a lemon and I don't want any more!!!!
God Bless & Happy Trip & Happy Hunting!

Thanks Mike Chgo Area.....but how many drive a car without power brakes, power steering, automatic transmission and no A/C? It's a stick with four in the floor! Has OverDrive for highway driving which I like!

Not really, Leslie, as only two can ride in front safely and two in back, but could hold three in back, but only has seatbelts for two.

to fix up a car that you know - rather than taking on someone else's problems. Steve

I can relate to that. When I lived in California the family car always had air. But went the cheapest way possible on the vehicles I had for use driving to work and other adventures such as detecing. Always no air and sticks usually. It gets really hot out there in the summer months.

I saw the car with what appears to be a bullet hole - just below the outside mirror Steve
