Having normalization (which HF coils don not have) don't assign tone.
You still have the ability to assign tone under expert tab said setting when you select your tones (except for full tones option).
But, here is the problem one can experience.
The Vdi is compressed at upper end.
Most coins will ring in at 90 plus meter reading (coins that actually give actual Vdi).
Deeper targets obviously will tend to run to high side give tone assigned to that region.
Here is what I have been doing using HF coil in already LF coil hard hunted areas.
Try and see if you can decide if the target(s) are challenged or not,,,meaning LF coil wouldn't say hit.
Put more stock in digging these.
The targets that give whimpers of tone yet more full sounding,,not the super duper real,short hits like bits of smallest foil etc.
Full tones option here allows person to listen to iron tone rolling in and out for cramped(challenged targets).
Believe it or not, there is some tone nuance using HF elliptical on hearing better vs junk targets- gold jewelry (chains)may not work though.
One thing I have notice, on the real challenged targets ID is actually provided in the iron range of these.
I have dug some nice silver old bits and coins, hiding form LF coils.
Now pull tabs etc, seems to ring on the 77-89 range.
Horseshoe shading can help too.
You see a lot of shading,,,likely not a deep target, or challenged target either.
Odds are LF coil struck it, and you heard and didn't dig.
Remember LF coil likely will give better ID on deeper targets.
In a sense when hunting such sites,,,give credit to your previous LF Deus coil hunts.
Stand alone targets,,icing knock your socks off tone leave them.
Look for the more challenged.
And pay attention to ferrous quantities where targets are struck with elliptical.
Also a person needs to dig maybe targets only giving 2 way sweep direction hits.
No absolutes, but my system I have outlined above is working for me.
My actual hours of elliptical HF coil use are really adding up.
