Finding clean ground for ground balancing

I know this is a very basic question but what is the best way to find clean ground to balance? I usually just start searching and find a place that I get no response then and there I balance. Is this the best way or is there another way?

Thats all I do pull the trigger for all metal mode, when I hear nothing..balance there.

So I'm guessing all metal mode doesn't need any kind of ground balancing?

You have to ground balance so the detector knows that the ground is not a target....in any mode.
