Finding gold rings in parks .

Ivan

New member
Of all the gold rings you've found in parks, where location wise; did they "tend to be" ? At the entrance, back areas, under trees, open areas. Just trying to get some feedback....curious I guess. Myself I've only found gold rings under trees....never yet in an open area and I've searched them alot. Is there a special area that pays off for you? Thanks for your replies.

Hi Ivan,

I have probably found most of my gold rings around trees, but don't overlook the grassy areas out in the middle of parks. People like shady areas, but don't forget those that worship the sun also. My best gold and diamond ring was pretty much in the center of an old park that appraised at over $1,100. I guess the bottom line is that you will find gold rings in the least unexpected places, so work around trees first and then hit the open areas and I must emphasise to not get tired of digging pull tabs. My best ring came in at a solid 4 reading in digital. I almost didn't dig it, but in an old park and being down a good six inches I had a feeling it must be a ring. Hope this helps..........:) HH.

Yea i agree that under trees is a good area to search for the rings. Also on the area where sports are played. Rare finds these days gold rings.

I found my best wedding band (Plat/gold 18kt) in a wide open spot at a park. You just never know. I would say most of my rings finds at parks have come under or close to the trees.

I have found 3 in the past year. All of them in the baseball fields. One behind batters cage, One in center field, one shallow left field behind shortstop.
