Finding Gold..........

I have noticed that gold is all over the TID. My experience is that women's rings read lower (18-21ish) than men's rings (23-35ish) that i have found. Necklaces and bracelets are hard to find because the signal sounds broken if you know what i mean. The necklaces i have found i believe i actually picked up the pendant instead of the chain. The best advise i can give is dig it all and go where gold is most likely to be lost.

Shooter,
I haven't tried my smaller coild yet, however, I did set up the de mode today and did not like it....at all! I was using 3h to get the higher tone for nickels, had the discrimination set at 25, but, notched the lower half of nicketls back in. Sens was set at 80, Admittedly, it was a pretty trashy area, and I was using the 11" coil. Maybe the 5 1/2" coil would work better wtiher setup. I haven't given up on the de process , I probably just have it set up wrong.
Never was one to give up early in the game, but, changing back to the AM Motion put me on a solid nickel target right off, I dug it and up came a beautiful silver, filigree pendantl It may not be silver, no markings on the back. I don't know how to tell silver from aluminunm.

This hear comes very close to covering a nickel, with the outside edges very close to even at four points.
