This will be my second post. My first post was about a yard which I got permission to detect. The owner owns 3 homes in the immediate area. The oldest built around 1900. The first post I stated I found the following which was in the front and side yard: 2 Barber dimes 1901 and 1916, 1918 Mercury, 2 V nickels 1910 and 1911, dateless Buffalo, 4 Indian heads 1899 1900 1905 and 1906, 6 Wheat 1910 1911 1912 1914 1942 and 1953d. There was also 1 Jefferson nickel and 6 Memorials. Here is the picture of the silver.

Went back a second time and found to the back yard and found: 1944 Mercury, 1 clad quarter and 6 dimes, 1 Wheat 1937, and 6 Memorials.

Third time back went and in the back I found 2 Roos 1946 and 1964 and they were just a few inches apart. Funny finding the first and last year of the silver Roos.

Went back the fourth time and went back to the side yard and got a nice twang and thought could be a half, but not that deep. Dug down and up came a 1952d Franklin Half!!! Also found a 1917 Wheat, 1 dime and 7 Memorials.

Fifth time back the findings were scarce and found a few Wheat 1918 and 1942. I was getting ready to leave and I decided I would search the yard across the street they also own. Not as old of a house but what the hey could not pass up checking it out. First reading was that nice twang and up came a 1934 Washington Quarter. Moved a few feet and the same twang and up came a 1942 Washington. Was thinking I sure would like to find a SLQ. About 5 feet from them came that sweet sound again and looking at the bulls eye I said this could be a half. Could there be 2 halves in the same area. Well up came a 1945 Walking Liberty Half!!! Still no SLQ. Well worked my way to the front yard and got a twang, however was showing about 2 inches. Thought a clad quarter, but lo and behold there was my SLQ, dateless and well worn but beautiful for me.

So this was one great place for me this last month. I will do a second post detailing more silver finds and a Civil War token found during the last month.
