Finds from last few days, FINALLY got silver

Goes4ever

New member
been having a real silver slump.....last silver I dug was last saturday.

And I was getting the itch to see some silver in the hole! I went 4 hunts with no silver, wheats and clad only, and today FINALLY got a silver dime, whew......glad to break that streak!!

over the weekend, got clad, lots of clad.......and several wheats, oldest was 1914. Neat cap gun, part of an old latern, couple president tokens. A saddle ring, that looks like silver but has no markings anywhere.

Today on way home from school stopped by an old farm I saw, and knocked on the door and asked if he minded if I did some detecting, he gave me the green light and away I went. Got 2 wheats 1920, 1940, a super nice 1883 injun, (#25 this year) and 1945 mercury dime to end my silver dry spell!

Man, that IH cent is in great shape. Don't they look for the Liberty in the headdress first ?
Does the saddle ring have any writing on it ? If so, I can look in my ring book for it. WTG, steve in so az

nope no writing except for the RR on the saddle you see in the picture

I used to have a cap gun just like that one. Good hunt and nice indian.

Congrats on the silver and the 1883 Injun....it has a nice patina and looks very good! I really like the Saddle ring and the RR might be for Roy Rogers....I hope you find out about it and if it is silver or not! You can always take it to the jewelers and have it tested if you don't have a silver tester like Steve in AZ does. Might cost you a little money, but you also might have a valuable ring and it would be worth it! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

But Terry for your sake and all of us curious members on this forum wouldn't you like to know if it is silver and a Roy Rogers ring and if stolen you will know the worth of it, providing you have ins to cover stolen items and goods! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

insurance!..lol
right now I don't even have health insurance, let alone insurance on treasure I dig!

hopefully I will get health insurance once I graduate and get a job, graduate in 5 weeks

I know that even if you have homeowners Ins you have to pay a special price to cover coins, furs, jewelry and etc. But if you do want to know what you've found, I just googled Roy Rogers Antique Rings and then clicked on Roy Rogers Rings by Cartier and saw the ring you found on ebay and the person who has it for sale wants $49.95 plus ins for it! Says it is silver, but doen't know if that it is silver! There are no markings on the ring that I can see from the pics he has, but it sure looks like silver and it would be heavy if it is! Good Luck on the ring, training and a new job! With God all things are possible! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Nice coins too! WTG!

You sure dig a lot of presidential tokens. Like that cap gun. If you try to clean it up more would you post pics of the results?
Yeah that is a nice looking indian, I have only dug the one from last year.
