1824, 1845 large cents
1883 shield, 1905 V and 1928 Buffalo nickels
1875, 1891 seated Liberty dimes
An unusual large flat button... scan is dark. It's almost like pewter, but it seems too thin. It came out of the ground so clean, I can't believe it's anything that would corrode. It's tone and digital signal was like that of a nickel. Any ideas?

You say near Chicago, I'm originally from Mt. Prospect, where are you? Not that it matters, just curious I guess.
I'm looking forward to visiting up that way in a few months, my parent live 1/2 block from a large field that was formerly a school, and is now used for tennis and a local (duh!) softball league. I know for sure the clad will be plentifull, but I sure want to find some silver!
Like I said, good job on the finds, and that silver sure comes out of the ground looking good.
