I wish I had more access to CW items. I think the .38 Rimfire casing I found and the 45-65 cases recently im thinking maybe some old CW rounds were shot off during certain festivals late 1880s as they passed thru this area. Just a theory

Nice finds… I found a fuse to that type of shell a few years ago, but it was missing the anvil and the cap.
How it ended up where I found it is a mystery to me… an old house site with no known battles taking place.

I figured maybe it was left behind by troops moving through the area and someone dismantled it, but just a wild guess.

All the imagining and could be's of Relics found in certain places is what makes these relics so interesting. What stories that they could tell, and they all have stories to tell.

This part looks like a Flintlock flash-hole liner. They have a hole in the side of the barrel behind the Flintlock where the powder ignites. I don't know if they had one in those years but I put one in my Kit I made...
