Finds from this past weekend

JT in Virginia

New member
I went out to search a construction site where an old farm used to be on Saturday. I found an 1880 Indian Head penny so I went back on Sunday to look for some more goodies. I found the miniball about 5-6 inches down and a bunch of modern pennies in another spot.

That's pretty exciting JT. I found my first old piece at a similar place here in town, and old carnival medalian dated around 1896 or so. I'm starting to believe in these plowed over older sites. Wonder where the bullet came from? I always wonder about the history behind this stuff.

What a great close-up shot of the bullet! Do you know if the soil has been built up JT, as there might be targets deeper. Just wondering.
Golden:)

I am a relic hunter so I like that nice dropped three-ringer...........might be a nice button or two in there!
