Finds of the Day:detecting:

Of course I finally get a day off and it's pouring rain! Well it finally, before the sun went down, let up and I got to do about two hours of detecting in my local park. Here's what I found! Thanks for looking

National Park Service Pin
1945 D (I think...pretty toasty) Wheatie
1924 S Merc, my second one and oldest coin find!

I thought it always rained in Seattle..LOL.Hope you get some better weather this weekend to claim some more silver. Is the pin from the same park that you are MDing? GL

Congrats on the finds! Looking good!

Thanks Everyone! @ Bob: Actually are summers here in Seattle are beautiful. Everything is green and lush from rain in Fall, Winter, & Spring lol. In The past two months (June/July) we have probably only had three rainy days and two thunderstorms. Other then that it has been sunny low 80's or high 70's. Checkout out our forecast for the next couple of days. With that said, on my day off, it of course rains :ranting: Well, I work retail so sometime mid next week I will get to give it another go (I just got a new machine so I am really anxious)....and it's forecasted to be sunny next week!:clapping: And yes, I found the pin in the same place, Volunteer Park. It is one of Seattle's oldest and biggest city parks :)

Silver, you should agree that it rains all the time up here.

Nice finds, Silver! :) I'm in Vancouver, Wa, and I actually WISH we would get some rain. The dirt, in the parks around here is like cement from being so dry, and I'm to cheap to water my lawn! :)

Keep up the good work! Give me a shout if your ever coming down this way, I'll show you some of our cement! :goodnight:

Good hunting!

Ron

Yeah, feels like the first real summer in a while. Thanks Ron! I have been meaning to get plugged into the metal detecting social pipeline :) especially here, and meet some other Detectorist! I guess there is a club up here, but they meet on Sundays. Being that I am a retail worker, I almost always work weekends :( I'm also 27 and a little scared of the likely age gap, lol.

Across the pond from you, a little east of Silverdale.

Oh nice. I'm originally from Tacoma, but have been in Seattle 4 years now and work in Bellevue. I am a coin guy so I try to hunt old parks in Seattle. Just got an E-Trac last Wednesday off eBay and it has been treating me well, 4 silvers in 6 hours of hunting :)

Very impressive! No need to ask how you feel about your new E-Track.
