Finished Excal straight shaft

Finally finished, but need to replace the handle with and aluminum one.I took this off a bike I had in the basement and it's steel. The arm cuff doesn't
feel good with out the strap on and I dont like to hunt with the strap so will probably change that.Other than that it feels great and can probably swing for hours with
no problem.
I also made a clamp to eliminate the wobble in the lower shaft and did the peltor modd.Total cost so far $0. I my original straight shaft question post, I said I had
to finish a digger before i got to the shaft, so here's a pic of the digger also.

Thanks again, to you guys for all the pics and suggestions. After 6 gold rings I might be ready for another modd. HHMM lets see water proof connectors & WOT or maybe PP switch.
Get ready for question. LOL.

Cant wait to try it out.

Happy huntings, Epi

Looks good, Epi. I especially like the clamp -- looks great! The price is right too.....:detecting:

Happy hunting,
Willy

Very nice work!.
In the future should you wish to make another and omit the lock nut U get the aluminum tube at Aircraftspruce.com or where ever , get 6061 t6 7/8 OD .745 ID 4 feet @ $3.20 per foot #03 36450.Your lower shaft will measure .744 which makes for a very nice fit requiring no lock nuts.

Hi all and Epidemic!

I post my straight shaft pictures here, if not problem :)

Thanks for all the comments. Nice work,Obolus, if i were to put a knob guard i guess I would have to
take the clips out and use screws.

My ID is .748 and the lower shaft was worn. If i ever get another excal, I'll get it from them.

Thanks
