FIREWORKS!!!

oldranger

New member
Had the dog out running today at a local park
Ran into an intrepid detectorist with a GTI2500

He was working an area that i KNOW from yearsof living
is where the town always sets off 4h of July fireworks,

He was bouncing all over and since he didnt have headphones
i could hear the chatter

DO fireworks or scorched ground really have that
much of an effect?

I never tried to :detecting: there with the ACE or
the GTI1500 since id read somneplace that ground like
that was reall tuff to read

As always

Thanks for the info

He probably didn't know how to use the 2500 and was running the sensitivity to high. I've hunted fireworks areas with no problem. You want to hunt where the spectators were and any concession stands were, not where they shot the fireworks off.
