First 2010 silver

Ray in WA

New member
Hey folks!

Got out for about an hour and a half today and scored my first silver of the year, a 1952 Rosie down about 5". I'll take it! :detecting:

This makes my third silver since moving back to California. Found it in an old park that actually dates 50 years older than the coin itself. Also got two wheaties, a '52 and '58. The latter wheatie was down about 8".

Below the pic of the coins is the location where I found them, perhaps another 50-75 yards to the right of the edge of the photo. The old bridge still stands today but a more modern one has replaced it and is now situated just to the right, where you see the person diving.

To the left of this old bridge, and the side from which the photo was taken, is where I recently found the 1902 Barber dime, perhaps 200 yards to the left along the bank of the river.

HH!

Must be nice to be able to swing this time of year Ray! Any silver coin is always a nice pull. I'm sure there's more where that came from. I bet next to the water you get a ton of cans though.... they are pretty easy to tell though, when you raise that coil 3 feet from the ground and it's still screaming you pretty much know its a can.

Good finds. It hasn't gotten out of the twenties in nine day's at my house. But it is going to be in the fifties Thurs. /Fri. hopefully I can chisel out something. HH:minelab:
