I took notes as I hunted last night for the first time as I want to learn this machine.I was using preset coin mode with sens. bumped up to 26 and deep on and it was as stable as could be.Noise canc. at 9.
Folded beavertail was 13-36.wheat on strait up on edge at 5" 16-36 and other wheat in hole with iron was 10-40.1911 Barber was 6' in trash and was 15-43.1911 Barber was on next to huge piece of iron at 5" and would read and lock on at 12-46 sweeping both directions but not a peep at 90 deg. In pinpoint mode just one big iron blast but in motion mode easy to pinpoit.1904 Barber was strait up on edge at 7" and
skiped back and forth from 12-43 to 15-50.Merc. dime on edge and locked on 11-45 at 5" deep.Indian head was in heavy trash at 4" and read 14-35.
Copper wire like corkscrew read 15-35
All coin sounded very good in an Explorer type audio.Coins on edge all pinpointed off 3 or 4" to one side at same spot motion or pinpoint mode but locked on well and sounded good.
This was in a small town park with loose black soil with over 4" of fresh rain the day before. When I went from auto to man sens. the depth almost doubled in air test on sight.
Recovery was much faster than SE but not as fast as all the hype lead me to believe.
Over all with just this one brief hunt I am very impressed as I am sure with some tweeking it will do much better.
Ballance is great and weight is fine compared to SE.
Screen is better in sun but still has room for improvement in my opinion.
Seperation is great so far.I think the depth is there as all the 5-7" coins were loud and clear and I could raise the coil quite a bit and still get good signal.
Well I better get some work done so thanks for looking and as it is raining again I will have to wait a while to try it some more .
