After finding 47 silver coins in the last 2.5 years, I found my first barber dime a 1914 D. It was about 7 inches deep in dry dirt. The city park was established in 1924 and the city celebrated its hundredth anniversary this year. It was settled mainly by frugal German farmers so there are not many old coins in the area. I am looking forward to hunting in some older parks.

I remember my first Barber dime also a 1910 and it was a beautiful sight. Now that you have your first one under your belt I'm sure you will find many more. GL & HH.
