First Cache and a Buffalo

New member
Went out this afternoon to our local park, scanned over a little flat rock next to a tree and lo and behold, size B at 3 inches.
Moved the rock and dug out a plastic Easter egg. Opened up the egg and found 4 quarters!!! I  My first cache!
Then moved over to a lot where an old building had colapsed and found my first buffalo nickel. It's so worn we can't make out a date.
Not a bad day at all:) HH y'all.

I knew the Easter bunny had a metal detector. Nice finds !

HEHE WTG cjw Love finding Buffalo's

I found one of those eggs a few years ago. Had two Hershey's kisses in it, I think, I ate them. Hidden the day before. I'd rather have had the four quarters.

Some months ago I dug up several real Easter eggs with pennies inside - the remains of an Easter egg hunt. Someone had removed the innerds, placed coins inside the shell, and taped it back together then buried it. Why they would bury the eggs is beyond me unless it was a detector egg hunt. Would be the only way to find the eggs.

Hey folks, I have no idea why or how long that egg was underground. The newest quarter was a 2002. It sure made me laugh tho!
I really would like to find a mason jar full of goodies for my first cache. But to be honest with y'all, this was just fine.
HH everyone!
