Awesome machine, I can not wait to master the power of this machine. I had permission to search the Giblin home located in Leawood Ks across from work so off I went.

After reading the forum I knew that one post I ran across was a good idea. Offer the first find to the homeowner. I did offer indeed and the first find was a .925 Sterling silver spoon, up to the house I went to pay the piper. No regrets however I do wish that I would have taken my camera. The rest of the day was full of nothing but 2 Penny's and iron objects from farming equipment along with a few winchester shotgun shell butts.
The Se seems to be a great machine however the operator is lacking in skill and knowledge to use it properly. Today was the first day out, I will learn this machine and I can not wait to post some great finds. The home I searched is located on a nice size lot and was built in 1880. Today I only searched around one tree, there is allot of area to look through, the homeowner "scrappy" could not have been more pleasant. Scrappy even told me about a cemetery in the woods near by that had been there since he was a kid. Scrappy said to me "walk down to the other side of the highway and enter the flat spot of land. Go to the right and enter the woods crossing the blue river and turn right. Scrappy claims that an old settlers camp site was located near the river bank just off of the Military road to Ft. Leavenworth in the woods near by. Scrappy believes that on the journey to the fort some folks died and were buried near the river. I can not wait to find this site in the late fall or pre spring.
The best find today was the Knowledge that Scrappy had to share.
