Boy did it feel good to swing a coil for the first time since late November. It was cold with a few snow flurries in the air but I hit the same old pounded park this morning for a few hours. First signal was a memorial cent but a few feet away I got a nice sweet sounding deep signal. Dug down about 8 inches and pulled out my first keeper of the year, an indian head cent. Rescanned the hole with my X1 probe and got another sweet sound. Pinpointed a second indian head cent and then a third. Nice to start the year with an indian head pocket spill. Wasn't able to sniff out any silver today but I did score 2 more Indian heads and 4 wheat cents. Indian head cents were 1886, 1892, 1898, 1901 & 1902. I'll be at it again tomorrow morning and hopefully find some shiny ones.
